  We met Monique when we were fostering a fearful, unsocialized pit bull mix for a local rescue. Monique went above and beyond in helping us rehabilitate her and teach her the world is a safe and fun place. We "failed fostering" this dog and continue to see Monique weekly for ongoing socialization and training We have also brought other fosters. Of ours to her with various issues, and under Monique's guidance have successful found them all loving forever homes! Although Monique is known for working with dogs that no one else will due to severe aggression, her true talent is her ability to be successful working with quirky temperaments, building brave, resilient dogs, and reading each dog as an individual. We love Monique !

  If I could rate a zero I would. She refused to take on my dog (who had an extremely mild behavioral issue) based on his breed. Monique literally stated "I will not see your dog because I have not had success with that particular breed of dog". He is an american bulldog. Any "excellent" reputable trainer would be able to work with and train any breed of dog. Very disappointing for such a "famous" Canadian trainer. I have since talked to many dog owners in the Victoria area, a few that were also turned away by Monique because their issues were "out of her league". For a trainer that "specializes" in aggression she sure turns a lot of dogs away. Through discussion, it became clear that Monique only accepts cases that she knows will be 100% successful to keep up with her appearance of excellence, when really she is clearly a mediocre trainer at best.
