First, it's a chain and is like all the other Milestones; however, twice they have served me gluten. I realize mistakes are made and my responsibility as the consumer seriously. The first time it happened, I asked three times to make sure the dish was gluten free. They promised it was. When it was brought to the table, I asked again. I took a few bites and my server came to the table, looked at the dish, then grabbed it. The manager came over and apologized. They gave us a gift card, but I received a bit of an attitude when I expressed how disappointing the mistake had happened (her response was, "can't you just take a pill to take care of it?"). Month later I had a business meeting there and the meal was fine, so I thought perhaps it was an isolated and genuine mistake. I ate there a third time without issue. The fourth visit ended up with gluten again. You can imagine I was extra cautious after that first mistake. Once again I received a dish with gluten that the server recognized (thankfully I had only taken one bite). Clearly there is an issue with the kitchen staff while the servers are on the ball. So why not one star? Because I know that lots of people eat there without issue and enjoy it. I caution anyone with allergy issues to avoid it though.
