    Be careful with this business. I recently brought in my 2013 MacBook Pro laptop to EB Computers when it unexpectedly shut off and wouldn't restart. They quickly determined it was a logic board failure and that repair would cost upwards of $1200.00 to fix. They advised me that based on the cost of repair I might be better off looking at trading it in against one of the used computers they sell. They also told me that they would be interested in my machine for parts and offered me $300 as a trade in. As I had purchased my $2500 + MacBook Pro brand new only 4 years prior, this was understandably a difficult pill to swallow.

    I decided to go with a gut feeling I had and get a second opinion, so I took it to The Mac Pros on Douglas street. Within 3 minutes of arriving at the store he ran my serial number through the Apple website and confirmed that Apple had a recall on the Logic board for this model and year. He gave me the customer service phone number for Apple and told me I should call them to confirm the warranty coverage would apply as the date of my serial number was close to the end of the recall dates.

    Long story short, YES it was covered under the warranty recall and it has since been fixed with new logic board and runs perfect. This cost me all of $39.95 at The Mac Pros, instead of THOUSANDS of dollars and a replaced machine, had it been through EB Computers. I have told my story to a few suprised Mac users I know and I certainly won't be going back to EB Computers based on this experience.
